Hi! I'm Jessica Facer!

Even before I officially became a travel agent, I always wanted to specialize in group travel. But I also wanted something that set me apart in the industry. As a lover of podcasts, and a podcaster myself, I found myself constantly thinking, "It would be so fun to take a trip with that podcast host." Lightbulb! And so WanderPod Travel was born. I help podcasters, bloggers, coaches, influencers, creators, and anyone who has a following to Unite, Explore, and Wander with their Pod!

As a travel advisor, I know just how much time it can take to plan a trip. There are so many behind the scenes logistics that most people don't even think of. Working with me will help you:

So, leave the logistics to me, and free yourself up to focus on what really matters to you: hosting meaningful and memorable retreats. Let's take your passion and turn it into the trip of a lifetime for you and your Pod!

~And fun fact! Once they've done it once, they're more likely to want to do it again. Turn it into an annual thing!

"Our company has booked multiple trips with Jessica, and we cannot recommend her highly enough! Handling our big, chaotic group is like herding cats and she nails it every time! She is always there to answer all of our questions, find us fun things to do at our destination, and goes the extra mile to make sure we’re all set! Seriously, if you’re looking for someone to take the stress out of planning a group trip, Jessica is your girl! Thanks for all of our amazing trips so far, we can’t wait to plan the next one!"

Villas

Rent a private villa, small or large, in hundreds of locations around the world! Chateaus and castles in Europe, modern beachfront homes in the Caribbean. You can even rent a private island! The possibilities are endless.

Villa rentals are the perfect choice for coaching and networking retreats. You have a "home-base" where you can hold classes and workshops, and then do day trips and tours to really explore and be immersed in your chosen destination!

Tours

Tours are a great option for groups that want to be on the go. You can be learning about the culture and history of a destination from expert tour guides, having all the fun, without having to do any of the work! WanderPod partners with many tour operators and will help you find the perfect tour whether you have a group of 8 or a group of 50+.

Cruises

Did you know you can reserve meeting space on large ocean liners? But if a traditional cruise setting is not for you, then maybe a river cruise, expedition cruise, or even a private yacht charter (they're not as expensive as you might think!). How great would it be to take your retreat to the seas?!

FAQ's

"Why is it called WanderPod?"

The name WanderPod has a double meaning that encompasses the whole scope of what we offer. "Pod" is short for Podcast (obviously), but "Pod" also means a group. We help people travel (Wander) as a group (Pod) = WanderPod! Unite, Explore, Wander with your Pod.

"Can you give me some ideas for a potential group trip?"

Sure! Here are a few ideas!
Team Building, Couples Retreat, Sports Training, Fitness, Fundraising, Photography, Cooking, Painting, Genealogy, Dance.

The possibilities are endless! *Seriously, I could make this section go on forever, but I'll stop there!*

Some of these ideas could be either, or both!
For example: Photography. Maybe you just want to get together with other established photographers, go somewhere awesome and take pictures (this would be a Retreat)! Or maybe you're a photographer that wants to teach beginner photography courses in a really cool destination (this would be a Workshop). Or MAYBE you want to have a workshop within a retreat!? 🤯

But your trip doesn't have to have a theme!
If you're a podcaster that has always wanted to go to Ireland, just take a fun group trip to Ireland with your listeners!

"How early should I start planning?"

I need a minimum of at least 3-4 months to effectively plan a group trip. Ideally the planning starts about 8-10 months out.

"Does my group have to be together the whole time?"

Not if you don't want to! Some people have a hang up about group travel thinking that they will be herded from place to place and be treated like kindergarteners on a field trip. This is so not the case! If you are planning a more independent trip (a retreat at a villa, for example), you can have as much free time as you want planned into the schedule! If you decide on more of a structured itinerary (say, a guided tour or cruise), there is usually quite a bit of free time built in to the schedule for people to go off and explore on their own for a bit. That's the beauty of group travel! You get the best of both worlds!

"What's in it for me as the group leader?"

Besides getting to go somewhere really cool to meet, connect, and interact with the people that keep you in business, the host/group leader can usually travel at a deep discount if certain criteria are met! Contact WanderPod for more info!

"Can you book an Airbnb?"

No I can't. For many reasons. Most importantly, Airbnb does not work with travel agents, so I have no control over the booking and no way to seek compensation for clients if the listing is not as advertised (which is happening more and more often these days!).
The rental companies that I partner with routinely vet and inspect the properties to make sure they are up to standard. Plus housekeeping is included, which is a major advantage over Airbnb.
